Over the last few years we have become firmly product orientated - increasing obsessed by the quality and technical performance of our garments - ensuring that they are all genuinely fit-for-purpose. As a result of this we believe that we are now offering a range of products - within our SPARTAN outerwear / thermalwear and SEVERN skinwear - that are the equal to anything available on the market anywhere in the world.
This focus has seen us investing heavily over recent years in product development [notably at the expense of our sales and marketing budget]. Evidence of this can be seen in the recruitment of an in-house designer [a graduate of the Textiles Course at De Montfort University, Leicester - one of the countries leading textile design departments] and the opening of a new dedicated design unit - both moves that we believe were necessary in order to take our sportswear onto the next level.
Moreover when designing garments we don't believe in simply copying other manufacturer's ideas, and utilising the same fabrics, preferring instead to be imaginative and innovative. We often work with the mills to improve upon the quality and technical performance of the fabrics that they produce for us [eg the new enhanced Meryl Activesystem fabric that we are now utilising in the SEVERN Skinwear range and are constantly looking out for new and exciting fabrics that we believe would improve our technical sportswear.
Our commitment to this is best reflected in our PLATINUM Label collection. An expanding range - utilising some of the most technically advanced fabrics from the world's leading mills [eg Polartec® Powerstretch, Pontetorto® Technostretch, Pertex® Equilibrium Stretch] - it offers unique garments that are designed to help the body perform when placed under pressure.
